Adeline Ludwig, 81, Drake, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Drake.

Adeline Helen Dorscher, daughter of John and Mary (Schneider) Dorscher, was born December 15, 1934 at Harvey. She was raised in the Drake area and received her education at the Drake Public School.

On November 5, 1952 she was married to Daniel Ludwig in Drake. They made their home and farmed in the Drake area and eventually moved into Drake in 1972.

Adeline and Donnie, along with son Gary and his wife Linda, owned and operated the D & G Lounge for 17 years. She was a great cook who brought many patrons in for lunch.

Adeline was a member of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church of Drake where she was involved in the Ladies Guild. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. She also enjoyed dancing, gardening and was an avid fishing woman. She loved being on the lake from dawn until dusk, normally having her limit before anyone else could catch their first fish.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Daniel; her children, Mike (Patricia) Ludwig of Monticello, MN, Gary (Linda) Ludwig of Starbuck, MN, Debbie Duncan of Drake and Bruce (Linda) Ludwig of LeMars, IA; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Leo Dorscher of Coeur d'Alene, ID and Edward Dorscher of Spokane, WA.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters, Sally Degenstein, Marylane Wolf, Angeline Forsythe and Rose Weninger; and 6 brothers, Johnny, Mike, Sebastian, Andrew, Joseph and Conrad.

Funeral: Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Drake.
Visitation: Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church.
Prayer service: Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
