Alfred R. Schrenk, 94, Bowdon, ND passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at CHI-St. Alexius Health, Carrington, ND.  A memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Bowdon Country Seventh-Day Adventist Church, rural Bowdon, ND.  Pastor Terry Pflugard. will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.  Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden, ND.

Alfred Rudolph Schrenk was born October 28, 1926 at Bismarck, ND, the son of Rudolph and Barbara (Wiebe) Schrenk.  The family later moved to a farm near Baldwin, ND where Alfred helped on the family farm.  He married Evangelyn Eichele on July 23, 1950 at Robinson, ND.  He was drafted into the United States Army and served for two years, most of that being at Fort Sam Houston in Texas.  They returned to a farm near Cathay, North Dakota and later moved to the farm southeast of Bowdon where they have made their home since.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Evangelyn, Bowdon, ND; children, Kevin Schrenk, Lincoln, NE; Shelda (Craig) Schaffer, Bismarck, ND; and Lorren Schrenk, Mandan, ND; also surviving are his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lynette Robinette, one brother and two sisters.
