.Alpha L. Herrera, 79, Fessenden, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford. A grave side service will be held at a later date. Arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.

Alpha Louis Iverson, daughter of Alfred and Amelia (Kandt) Iverson, was born January 5, 1938 at New Rockford where she was raised and attended school.

Alpha was once married to Joseph Goulet. She later married Alphonso Herrera and resided in Tacoma, WA for a time before moving to the Los Angeles, CA area. In addition to raising her family, Alpha worked as a bank teller and manager for many years with Union Bank in Los Angeles. Following her retirement, Alpha moved to Fessenden where she had resided since.

She is survived by her children, Douglas Goulet of Van Nuys, CA, Michael (Angie) Goulet of Guyton, GA and Jacqueline Razo of Whittier, CA; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Alpha was preceded in death by 4 children, Karen, Sheryl, Joseph and Alphonso; her parents and one brother, Clayton Iverson.
