Arden J. Dahl, 68, Jamestown, formerly of Fargo and Fessenden, died Friday, May 3, 2013 at the Ave Maria nursing home in Jamestown. A private family service will be held at e Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden with burial in the East Vang Cemetery of rural Fessenden.
Arden James Dahl, son of Andrew and Eva (Applegate) Dahl, was born December 31, 1944 at Fessenden. He grew up on the family farm north of Fessenden where he attended country school and later attended Fessenden High School.
On September 9, 1965, Arden entered the United States Army and served his country in Vietnam. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to North Dakota and lived most of his years in Fargo and Jamestown. He worked as a truck driver for many years.
Arden was once married to Kathy Schock. They were blessed with one daughter, Lisa Marie.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Marie; one sister, Sandi Kittelson of Red Lake Falls, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Arden was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Thelma; and four brothers, Duane, Howard and two infant brothers, Roger and Myron.
