Ardis Klindworth, 74, Hamberg, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at her home in Hamberg. Her funeral will be held Friday, March 9, at 10:30 A. M. at Concordia Lutheran Church of rural Fessenden with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 3 P.M. until 5 P. M. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden.
Ardis Mae Haswell, daughter of Alonzo and Myrtle (Lundstrom) Haswell, was born August 16, 1943 at Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls and attended Washington Senior High School, graduating in 1962.
In 1975, Ardis was united in marriage to Alfred Klindworth in Shevlin, MN. They lived in Sioux Falls for a time where Alfred was employed with a grain elevator construction crew. They later moved to Hamberg where they resided since. Ardis worked for a time at Sioux Manufacturing in Fort Totten and also helped Alfred with his mail route, serving as his secretary and occasionally driving the mail truck when needed.
She was a member of the Hamberg Lutheran Church until its closure and was presently a member of Concordia Lutheran Church.
Ardis is survived by her husband, Alfred; 2 sons, John of Devils Lake and Jeffrey (Marion) of Grand Forks; and 1 grandson, Sebastian.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
