Arlene Ehni, 85, Bismarck, formerly of Fessenden, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at St. Vincent's Care Center in Bismarck.  A family service will be held at a later date.

Arlene Marie Strauss, daughter of Joseph and Ida (Schnabel) Strauss was born June 6, 1935 in Wells County.  She graduated from Fessenden High School and on July 1, 1953 she married Ellery Ehni.  They lived and farmed in the Manfred area until moving to Fessenden in 1974.  Nine children were born to this union.

Arlene moved to Devils Lake in1990, to West Fargo in 2004 and to Bismarck in 2017.

She is survived by her children: Cindy of Sandy, UT, Skeet of Fessenden, Kim (Ron) Opp of Hazen, Karen (Rich) Turner of Salt Lake City, UT, Jeanne (Kurt) Rudel of Fessenden, Dawn (Steve) Morcomb of Coon Rapids, MN, Kay (Brad) Brown of Bismarck, Kathy (Dan) Loegering of West Fargo and Tic (Angie) of Reno, NV; 29 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Kathryn Gladheim, Audrey Larson, Joe, Dick, Judy (Tommy) Schaudel and John (Jennifer).

Arlene was preceded in death by grandson, Matthew Turner; granddaughter, Molly Morcomb; her parents; brothers, Don and Jim; and sisters, Elaine Weigelt and Lucille Wahl.
