Our Dad, Arlie L. Roller, 89, of Harvey entered his new life with his Lord and family on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the farm that he loved so much, near Harvey, ND.   Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND with Pastor Greg Longtin officiating.  Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.  Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Thursday at Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden and an hour prior to the service at church. The service will be live streamed at:  https://tinyurl.com/ymz9jeat.

Arlie Leo Roller was born October 20, 1931 at Harvey, ND, the son of Leo and Ida (Hirschkorn) Roller.  He grew up and attended country school near Hurdsfield and later near the family homestead south of Harvey.  He entered the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War.  He married Dorothy Saltness on December 16, 1951 at Fessenden, ND.   They lived in San Antonio and Fessenden until 1957, when they moved to the Roller Family Homestead south of Harvey.   He raised grain, milked cows, raised thoroughbred horses and in later years beef cattle.  He loved horse racing.

Arlie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Harvey, Frank E. Curry American Legion Post #28, Eagles Club, served 36 years with the Fessenden Fire District, and the North Dakota Thoroughbred Association.

Arlie is survived by his children, Kristy (Vince) Sabbe, Harvey, Kevin (Becky) Roller, Fessenden, Chuck (Roxie) Roller, Manfred, Paul (Sherry) Roller, Carrington, and Bruce (Neda) Roller, Harvey; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters, Idelle (Don) Weninger, Harvey and Alice Undem, Valley City; and special friend Gladith Maire.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy on October 28, 1998, and brother Leo.

Memorials are preferred to the Fessenden Fire District.
