Avonell Faye (Lesmeister) Eide 81, Ft. Collins,CO, formerly of LaPorte City, IA and Fessenden, ND, passed away peacefully November 17, 2013 in Fort Collins, CO. A private memorial service was held in Fort Collins. A grave side service will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Fessenden on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Local arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.

Avonell, daughter of Lillian and Donatus Lesmeister was born April 3rd, 1932 at Harvey. She grew up in the Fessenden area where she attended school, graduating from high school in Fessenden in 1950. She then received her nurses training at Minot.

On August 12, 1953, Avonell was married to Douglas Eide. They farmed south of Fessenden for several years before moving to Iowa. Doug passed away June 22, 2008.

Avonell's extended nursing career included Industrial Nurse at Rockwell Goss in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary.

Avonell is survived by her children Reba (Darrell) Ruzicka LaPorte City, Cindy ( Dean deceased) Millard, Fort Collins, Donata Curtis, Lenexa, Kansas, Douglas Dean Eide, Ft. Collins, CO, and Marci Harris, Fort Collins; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother Frank (Beverly) Glaser, Hiawatha, IA and sister Fran (Bud deceased) Mohr, Iowa City, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Eide, her parents, granddaughter April Marie Sima, great-grandson Dakota James Glaser, brother Derle Lesmeister.
