Darwin 'Charlie' Bowitz, 56, Hurdsfield, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. at the Wayside Cemetery in Bowdon with a reception to follow at First Lutheran Church in Bowdon. Arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.

Darwin Charles Bowitz, son of Floyd and Lorraine (Hauser) Bowitz, was born January 6, 1962 at Fargo. He grew up in the Bowdon/Hurdsfield area and attended Bowdon Public School, graduating in 1980.

Darwin spent most of his adult life working as a truck driver and was employed by Weckerly Farms of Hurdsfield.

He is survived by his sister, Peggy Bowitz of St. Paul, MN; 2 brothers, Elroy (Linda) Bowitz of Osceola, WI and Orlin (Marlys) Bowitz of Outing, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carol Bowitz.
