Debra Ganske, 62, Minot, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center in Minot. A Celebration of Debra's life will be held Saturday, January 23 at 1:00 P.M. at the High Third Building on 7-1 ^st St. SE in Minot, ND. CDC recommendations including social distancing, hand sanitizing, staying away if not feeling well and wearing a mask are encouraged. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Home in Drake.

Debra Kay Borgen, daughter of Gilbert and Betty (Bostwick) Borgen, was born January 23, 1958 in Crosby, ND. Her first years were spent in Crosby where she received her early education. The Borgen family moved to Minot in 1968 and later to Souris where she graduated from high school in 1974 as Co-Valedictorian. She enrolled at Minot State College, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Marketing. She then accepted a position with the Minot Post Office where she was employed for several years.

In 1992, Debra enrolled at the University of North Dakota Law School in Grand Forks. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1995 with her law degree and returned to Minot where she began practicing as Edwardson Law Office. Debra was once married to Jim Edwardson.

On November 9, 2006, Debra was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dale Ganske, in Williston, ND. They made their home in Minot since.

She is survived by her husband, Dale; her son, Joseph Edwardson of Minot; siblings, Linda (Paul) Lesmeister of Deming, NM, Mike Borgen and Sue Borgen both of Anamoose, ND, and Wesley (Amy) Borgen of Minot; and several nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Betty Borgen.
