Dennis Delmar Unterseher, 74, of Ooltewah, TN passed away on July 29, 2015 at his home. Dennis had been a resident of Ooltewah for 19 months after moving from Mayville, ND. He loved visiting with friends and family, maintaining his home and yard, and bird watching. He enjoyed farming in ND before retiring in 2013. He was a member and deacon of Seventh Day Adventist churches in Bowdon, ND and Grand Forks, ND. Most recently he was a member of Collegedale SDA church in TN. Over the years he participated in several church and school building projects in the US and Mexico.
Dennis, son of Albert and Alvina Unterseher, was born at Bowdon, ND on November 16, 1940 where he grew up and attended school, graduating from high school in 1958. On October 16, 1960 he married Jeanne Hagel at Jamestown, ND. They made their home and farmed in the Bowdon area until 1998 when they moved to Mayville, ND. He worked part time at Volla Farms until retirement late in 2013.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother; sisters, Glynice Zielen and Karen Fike; and brother, Loren Unterseher.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Jeanne Hagel Unterseher; sons, Darin Unterseher of Bismarck, ND, and Craig Unterseher (Molly) of Philadelphia, PA; sister, Marlene Page of Butte, MT; brother Alden Unterseher of Lavonia, GA, and brother, Arlo Unterseher of Bismarck, ND.
The funeral service will be held at the Grand Forks SDA church in ND on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m..Interment will be at the Bowdon, ND SDA cemetery on August 9 at 4:00 p.m.. Local arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.
