Duane G. Rieder, 65, Drake, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at Trinity Medical Center in Minot.

Duane George Rieder, son of Henry and Elizabeth (Ziegler) Rieder, was born October 29, 1955 at Harvey, ND.  He grew up in Drake where he attended Drake Public School.   He then worked for Soo Line Railroad for several years and later for Harris Construction Company of Kenmare, working on road construction crews.

Duane faithfully attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Drake where he was a lifelong member.  He loved watching sports and was an avid Los Angles Rams and Lakers fan.

He is survived by his siblings, Larry of Drake, Terry (Paulette Martin) of Drake, Daniel of Minot, Patrick (Shannon) of Dilworth, MN, Lori (Randy) Horstmann of Castle Rock, CO and Cathy Rieder of Harvey.  He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard.

A memorial mass will be held Wednesday, March 10, at 8:30 A. M. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Drake.  Burial will take place at the church cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Home of Drake.   Online condolences may be shared at nelsonfuneralhomesnd.com
