Edward Koble, 84, Harvey, formerly of Drake, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Trinity Hospital in Minot. His funeral was rescheduled to Tuesday, March 7, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Harvey with burial at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Cemetery in Drake later in the spring. Visitation will be held Monday from 5 p. m. to 7 p. m. followed by a 7 p. m. prayer service, all at the church. Arrangements with Bethke-Nelson Funeral Home of Drake.

Edward Koble, son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Reiter) Koble, was born February 9, 1933 on the Koble family farm near Orrin. In 1946 , the Koble family moved to a farm north of Drake where Edward began farming with his father at an early age.

On November 21, 1962, Edward was married to Helen Bachmeier at the Blumenfeld Catholic Church of rural Drake. They made their home on the Koble farm where Ed continued to farm until 2007 when they retired and moved to Harvey.

Ed was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Drake until moving to Drake and has since been a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 5856 of Drake and the Harvey Eagles Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pinochle, collecting John Deere tractors and he especially loved spending time with his granddaughters.

Ed is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen; his sons, Allen (Amy Rutten) and Rick of Drake; his daughters, Bev Rudnick of Mandan and Connie (Tim) Loen of Harvey; 3 granddaughters, Brooke, Abby and Daizee Loen; and 2 sisters, Irene Pfeifer of Devils Lake and Delores Vetter of Minot.

Ed was preceded in death by his son, Gail; his parents; 2 brothers, Wendelin and George and 2 sisters, Elizabeth Becker and infant sister Angeline Koble.
