Eileen Hartvikson, 91, Bismarck, formerly of Seattle and the Bowdon area, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck. Her funeral will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at the Bowdon School Auditorium in Bowdon with burial at the Wayside Cemetery in Bowdon. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden and for one hour before the service at the auditorium on Friday.

Eileen Neumiller, daughter of John and Mathilda (Schaubert) Neumiller, was born November 3, 1924 at Bowdon where she grew up and received her education.

On September 14, 1949 she was united in marriage to Donald Hartvikson in Harvey, ND. They made their home in Minot until 1956 when they moved to Seattle, WA. Don passed away March 5, 1994 in Seattle. In 2010 Eileen returned to North Dakota to be near family. She became a resident of Valley View Heights in Bismarck in 2011 and entered the Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center on February 13, 2013.

She is survived by one brother, Richard (Helen) Neumiller of Fargo; one sister, Doris Zimmerman of Bismarck; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents and one sister, Delores Neumiller.
