Elarene Anne Buchmiller, 64, Minot, formerly of Bowdon, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at the Trinity Hospital in Minot.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 31, at 11:00 a.m. at the Bowdon Community Center in Bowdon with a reception to follow.
Elarene Buchmiller, daughter of Ronald and Irene (Olofson) Buchmiller, was born August 1, 1950 in Harvey, ND. She grew up on a farm in the Bowdon area where she began her education in the Bowdon Public School and later graduated from the Harvey Special Education Program.
Upon completing her education, Elarene lived with her parents for several years before moving to Minot in 1987 where she had since resided under the supervision of the MVAW.
In Minot she worked several years at the Holiday Inn, the Dakota Inn, and eventually at the Minot Vocational Workshop.
Elarene enjoyed her time with her sister's and brother's families. She loved her many nieces and nephews and babysat them often in her earlier years. Elarene touched the lives of many and was a blessing to us all.
Elarene is survived by her brother, James (Kathy) Buchmiller of rural Bowdon; her sister, Darla (Claude) Sheldon of Fargo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
