Elizabeth 'Liz' Keller, 87, Drake, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Minot Health & Rehab in Minot.
Elizabeth Ann Reiger, daughter of Phillip and Barbara (Wolf) Reiger, was born November 11, 1930 on her parent's farm near Orrin where she was raised and attended a nearby country school.
On November 6, 1945 she was married to August Keller in Orrin. They lived in Karlsruhe for a short time before moving to Drake where they made their home and raised their four sons. August passed away January 27, 2001.
Elizabeth was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church of Drake and the Drake Senior Citizens Club.
She enjoyed playing cards, her occasional trips to the casinos and spending time at the Harvey Eagles Club, the Minot Moose Club and the Anamoose V.F.W. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning, especially pickles and watermelon.
She is survived by her four sons, David (Del) Keller of Velva, Darrell (Julie) Keller of Drake, Dean (Kimberley) Keller of Minot and Don (Misty) Keller of Minot; grandchildren Casey (Nick) Casavan, Cullen (Courtenay) Keller, Marla Mietz, Michelle (Darvin) Dietz & Shannon (Tom) Filler, Sara (Clint) Neshem & Kasey (Abby Suthard) Keller, Dustin ( Kari) Keller, Kodi Keller, Kayaunna Keller, & Bobbie Keller, and Devon Keller & Dawson Keller; numerous great-grandchildren; her friend Alan Hornbacher of Drake; 3 brothers, Clemens (Loretta) Reiger of Parker, CO, and Edmund Reiger & Pius (Barbara) Reiger of Las Vegas, NV; and brothers-in-law, Pete Ziegler of Minot and Ed Lemer of Drake.
Liz was preceded in death by her husband, August; grandson, Dylon Keller; her parents; brothers, Frank, Louie, Wendelin, Pete and infant brother, Joseph; and sisters, Helen, infant Margaret, Rosemary, Irene, Opal, Agnes and Margaret.
Funeral: Monday, March 5, 10:30 A. M. At St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Drake.
Visitation: Sunday from 5 P. M. To 7 P. M. at the church
Prayer Service & Rosary: Sunday evening at 7 P. M. At the church.
Burial: St. Margaret Mary Catholic Cemetery in Drake.
