Elsie Heintz, 105, Glendale, AZ, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at Glendale. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 15 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Glendale. Burial will take place at the Peterson Family Cemetery in Bowdon, ND. Local arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.

Elsie Peterson, daughter of George and Sarah (Erickson) Peterson, was born September 30, 1909 at Bowdon where she was raised and educated.

On June 18, 1928 she was married to Jacob 'Jack' Heintz at McClusky, ND. They lived in several communities where Jack worked as a barber, including Velva, Heaton and Bowdon, ND and Landuskey, MT, before moving to Glendale, AZ in 1955. Mr. Heintz passes away October 19, 1980.

Elsie's life and accomplishments are difficult to express in words. To be best described as a wonderful mother and a special friend to many. Her legacy is one of love, hope and understanding, to be carried on by her family which includes her daughter, Muriel J. Hampton and sons and daughters-in-law, George (Gail) Heintz , Richard (Susan) Heintz and Ross (Betty) Heintz ; and six generations of grandchildren.
