Ervin W. Petzke, 93, Fessenden, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at a Alexandria, MN care center. Arrangements are pending with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.
Ervin Walter Petzke, son of Karl and Julia (Riedle) Petzke, was born November 9, 1919 near Heimdal where he grew up and attended country school. He began farming with his father at an early age and continued until his retirement. In 1998 he moved to Fessenden where he had resided until recently moving to Alexandria, MN due to ill health.
Ervin enjoyed farming, custom bailing and woodworking. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church of rural Fessenden.
Ervin is survived by his sister,Helen Swanstrom of Alexandria, MN; niece and nephews, Linda (Gail)Whipple, Duane (Kathy) Larson, Larry (Cindy) Swanstrom and Terry (Margaret) Swanstrom; and many great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lilly, Julianna and Edna.
