Evangelyn M. Schrenk, 94, of Bowdon, ND passed away Monday, February 26, 2024 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck, ND.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 15, 2024 at Bowdon Country Seventh-day Adventist Church, Bowdon, ND.

Evangelyn Mae Eichele was born in Sykeston, ND on May 9, 1929, to Henry and Verna (Lange) Eichele. She grew up in the Sykeston, Tuttle, and Robinson areas. She attended Robinson schools, and graduated from Sheyenne River Academy, Harvey, ND, in 1947.

Evangelyn married Alfred Schrenk on July 23, 1950. They farmed in the Robinson area until 1966, when they moved to Rolla, MO. She worked for several years as a dental assistant. In 1978, they moved back to their North Dakota farm, and she continued working as a dental assistant in Jamestown, ND, until her retirement.

She enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and accordion. She also enjoyed painting pictures, gardening, and canning.

She is survived by sons, Kevin of Lincoln, NE and Lorren of Mandan, ND; daughter, Shelly (Craig) Schaffer of Bismarck, ND; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lanerd Eichele of Bowdon, ND and Gordon (Gerry) Eichele of Robinson, ND; sisters, Janice Guthmiller of Robinson, ND and Karen Neset of Battle Lake, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alfred; daughter, Lynette; and grandson, Brandon.
