Frances "Frankie" Marie Fehr, 74, died August 13, 2024 in her home in Pennsylvania.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the First Lutheran Church, Fessenden. The family will receive guests at 10:00 AM at the church.  The Celebration of Life will be live streamed on the Fessenden First Lutheran Facebook Page.  The Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden, ND is in charge of the arrangements.

Frances was the daughter of Eilert Brechter Fehr and Marie Francis (Pitkin) Fehr. She grew up on the family farm, attending grade school at Manfred and graduating from Fessenden High School. She earned a BA in Theater Arts from Jamestown College.

Frances graduated in 1979 with a Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design from Temple University. From there she went to the Pennsylvania Ballet and worked as the costumer, designing and constructing ballet costumes. She also designed and made costumes for Philadanco, Philadelphia Drama Guild, Philadelphia Theater Company, Studio 2, Villanova University and Drexel University. In the late 1980s, Frances worked for IATSE local 799 dressing and sewing. In 1992 she started working as a wardrobe supervisor on the touring company of Phantom of the Opera. When the Phantom closed, she settled in Rosemont, PA and worked for the local wardrobe union again, dressing and sewing at the Kimmel Center and Annenberg Center.

Frances enjoyed being with her friends and family, gardening, skiing, baking, reading, watching movies and doing crosswords.
Frances is survived by her siblings: Julia Ann (Marvin) Rodacker, Jon (Gloria) Fehr, Jean Narksompong and Alan (Kris) Fehr, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother James Ferdinand Fehr and infant sister Karen May Fehr.
