Jack Vollmer, 56, of Arizona, formerly of the Drake area, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in Mesa, AZ under the care of Hospice. A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 4, at 11:30 A. M. at St. John's Norfolk Cemetery of rural Drake. Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Home of Drake.

Jack Kelly Vollmer was born March 17, 1964 at Rugby and was raised in Drake, ND where he attended the Drake Public School. He grew up on the Vollmer farm northeast of Drake where he began working at an early age. In the late 1970s, Jack moved to Nemo, SD and enrolled in the local Job Corps where he earned his GED and received training as a chef and in masonry work.

He returned to North Dakota and worked various jobs through the years including driving gravel truck in the Drake area, cabinet construction for Feist Cabinetry in Minot and grain cleaning out of Velva. He then moved to the Williston area where he was employed in the oil fields for several years. He recently moved to Arizona due to ill health.

Jack is survived by several children; his mother and step-father, Bonnie & Dennis Vollmer of Drake and his brother, Royce (Dakota) Vollmer of St. Michael, MN.
