Jackie A. Lloyd, 90, Fessenden, North Dakota, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at CHI-St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, North Dakota.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Hillside Cemetery with Pastor Shirley Teske officiating.  A visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden, North Dakota.  A celebration of Jack's Life will be Sunday, October 22, 2023 starting at 3:00 p.m. at Jack's Shop on Highway 15.

John "Jack" Alexander Lloyd, the son of John E. and Jessie (Gillespie) Lloyd was born October 22, 1932 in rural Heaton, North Dakota.  He attended country school near Heaton and Fessenden Public School.

Jack joined the military and served with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.  He was united in marriage to Videll Moser on February 11, 1958 in Ada, Minnesota.  Together they welcomed four children, Renee, Rory, Mona, and Monty.  After 58 years of marriage, Videll passed away on April 8, 2016.

Jack was literally a "Jack of all Trades".  Not only being a life long farmer, he was in the trucking business with his father, served the community as the "Garbage Man," owning the sanitation service in Fessenden for many years.  He drove school bus for Fessenden Public Schools, worked with his brother providing septic services, and probably in his spare time you could find him bartending, helping out a local business.

Jack loved the outdoors, so after retiring, you could find him tending to his yard and working in one of his shops, or every afternoon at Cenex having coffee with his friends.

He is survived by his daughter Renee (Bill) Ritter, granddaughters, Natasha (JD), and Nichole (Jeremy), both of Texas, sisters-in-law, Adeline Lloyd and Diane (Dean) Sommerville, and several nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 58 years, sons Rory and Monty, and daughter Mona, his brother Mickie, and sisters, Donna and LaVonne.

Jack was loved by his family and many friends, he will be missed.  May his memory be a blessing.
