Kelly N.
Mason
Sep 15, 1955 — Jan 20, 2020
Fessenden
Kelly Mason, 64, rural Fessenden, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Sunset Drive-Prospera Community Care in Mandan.
Kelly Neil Mason, son of William C. and Myra M. (Schultz) Mason, was born September 15, 1955 at Harvey. He was raised at rural Fessenden and received his elementary and high school education at Fessenden Public School. He received his junior high education in Tulsa, OK.
On June 26, 1976, Kelly was united in marriage to Lori Liebelt in Harvey. They made their home north of Fessenden where Kelly farmed and also worked construction for a time.
Kelly enjoyed life on the farm, whether he was working the fields in his John Deere 9400T, tending to his yard and garden, or tinkering in his shop on his cars or woodworking. He used his woodworking talent to create individual desks for each of his grandchildren. Kelly loved spending time with family. He and his friend Tim Neumiller, along with their sons Matt and Bob, built cars which they enjoyed entering in drag racing competition for a number of years. Recently, he and his daughter Sarah were working on a woodworking project together and he was also determined to teach her the skill of welding. Kelly will be greatly missed by his family.
Kelly is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lori; his son, Matt (special friend Kimberly) Mason of rural Fessenden; his daughter, Sarah (Allen) Heilman of rural Fessenden; 6 grandchildren, Gavin, Owen, Jadyn & Fiona Mason and Alex & Ebony Heilman; and his brother, Dale (Connie) Mason of Fessenden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Myra Mason, and his brother, Rex.
The Mason family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at Prospera Community Care Center for the loving care given to Kelly while a resident there.
Funeral: Friday, January 24, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at Concordia Lutheran Church of rural Fessenden.
