Kenneth B. Seehafer, son of Bernard and Aurora (Stolt) Seehafer, was born February 11, 1942 at St. Paul, MN. He grew up on the family farm north of Drake and attended his first seven grades of school at a nearby country school before enrolling at the Drake Public School where he graduated in 1961. He began farming at an early age.
On March 8, 1969, he was united in marriage to Lila Ehrman at Anamoose. They made their home on the Seehafer farm where they farmed and ranched until their retirement. Kenneth loved the farm and working with his cattle. In August of 2019 he entered Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center where he enjoyed playing bingo and pinochle, attending worship and socializing with the residents and staff.
Kenneth was a member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church of Anamoose where he served as an Elder. He also served on the Round Lake Township Board, the Drake Creamery Board and the McHenry County Crop Improvement Board. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lila; his son, Brian (Brenda) Seehafer of Bismarck; daughter, Brenda Seehafer of Rolla; 2 grandchildren, Teigan and Kadee; and sister, Ardys Frandeen of Minnesota.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents.
