LaDell V. Hornbacher, 61, rural Bowdon, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey.

LaDell Vale Hornbacher, son of Melvin and Mary (Seibel) Hornbacher, was born August 5, 1957 in Harvey. He grew up on the family farm north of Bowdon and attended Bowdon Public School, graduating in 1975.

On June 20, 1978, LaDell was married to Pam Theige in Fessenden.   He worked on construction crews for several years before starting his own business, Hornbacher Welding and Repair.  They lived in Minot and Hillsboro for a time before settling on the Hornbacher farm in 1991 where he had resided since.

LaDell was very family oriented and loved spending time with all of his grandchildren.

He is survived by Pam; his children, Bryon (Crystal) Hornbacher of Fessenden, Kinda (Derrick) Wolf of Wishek and Del (Chantelle) Hornbacher of Minot; his mother, Mary of rural Bowdon; 6 grandchildren; and his sister, Renae (Bob) Miller of Mandan.

LaDell, was preceded in death by his father, Melvin and grandson, Ashden Ivesdal.

His funeral will be held Monday, August 27 at 10:30 A.M. at the Bowdon Church of God with burial in the Sunnyside Cemetery of Harvey. Visitation will be held Sunday from 7 P.M. until 9 P.M. at Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden.
