LaVonne "Bonnie" Mavis Fandrich, 83, of Manfred, ND passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, ND. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 5, 2024 at Harvey Seventh-day Adventist Church in Harvey, ND with Pastor Harold Chin officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at the Manfred Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the family: 5221 Tall Spruce Street Brighton, CO 80601 or to Dakota Heritage Bank for the Fandrich Memorial: 920 Lincoln Avenue, Harvey, ND 58341. LaVonne "Bonnie" Mavis Fandrich was born December 8, 1940 in Watford City, ND, McKenzie County to Sigurd and Pearl (Foreman) Sivertson. She grew up near Keene, ND and attended Pleasant Valley Country School near their home. Bonnie attended Sheyenne River Academy in Harvey, ND for high school where she met James "Jim" Fandrich and were high school sweethearts. They married on October 8, 1958 in New Town, ND.
Jim and Bonnie moved to California and lived there for five years. In 1965, they purchased a farm near Manfred, ND where they raised three children, Larry, Kathleen, and Kristi. Bonnie was a member of the Manfred Seventh-day Adventist Church and held many offices. She enjoyed bookkeeping, quilting, gardening, and helping on the farm/ranch.
LaVonne is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Fandrich; children, Larry (Fay) Fandrich, Kathleen (Mark) Brown, and Kristi (Bruce) Griffith; 5 grandchildren: Amanda (Damon) Dechant, Matthew (Kenzi) Brown, Jason (Connie) Brown, Ethan (Katie) Griffith and Jenna (Christian) Popesku; 9 great-grandchildren: Drey, Ari, Dace, Corbyn, Carter, Boone, Bruin, Bronwyn, and Nolan; sisters: Sibyl Herr, Joyce Miller, Alice Boyko, and Marlys Jensen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sigurd and Pearl Sivertson; siblings: Joycelyn, Sidney, Betty, and Daryl Sivertson.
