Lawrence Lemer, 82, Harvey, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Trinity Hospital in Minot. His funeral will be held Friday, February 5 at 10:00 A. M. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Harvey with burial at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Cemetery in Drake. Lawrence James Lemer, son of John M. and Dorothy (Volk) Lemer, was born February 1, 1938 at the Drake Hospital in Drake, ND where he was raised and educated. Following his high school education, Larry served in the United States Army and later the National Guard for over 9 years. He was united in marriage to Katherine H. Burgard on January 7, 1957 in Orrin. Katherine passed away November 27, 2020.

Larry was a welder/fabricator most of his life but also worked as a mechanic, carpenter and painter. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was involved with his church family.

Larry loved his family and enjoyed talking about them and telling stories. He was an avid fisherman and a die-hard Packers and Brewers fan since living in Wisconsin for a period of time. He also enjoyed playing Pinochle and always had time for one more game.

Those who shared in Larry's life are his children, Greg of Harvey, Jacqualine of Sahuarita, AZ and Frances of Tucson, AZ; 3 grandchildren, who he enjoyed spending time with fishing, playing marbles and eating ice cream, Cameron and Devin in Arizona and Catherine in Indiana; 3 sisters, Rosemary (Franklin) Marten, Dorothy Rieger and Margaret (Michael) White; and one brother, Edward.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; his parents; 6 brothers, Dennis, Mike, Anton, John, Peter and Joe; and 1 sister, Magdelina Sander.
