Lewis Rappuhn, 92, of Bellevue, NE, formerly of Fessenden and Fargo passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Bellevue. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillside Cemetery in Fessenden where he will be interred. Arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.

Lewis Rappuhn, son of Charles and Pauline (Streibel) Rappuhn was born April 24, 1924 on his parents farm north of Emrick where he was raised and began farming at an early age with his father and brother Ardell. He attended grade school and one year of High School in Emrick before enrolling at Fessenden High School where he graduated in 1941.

On June 28, 1948, Lewis was united in marriage to Audrey Hughes in St. Joseph, MO. They made their home and continued farming in the Emrick/Fessenden area until 1989 when they retired and moved to Fargo.

Lewis is survived by 2 children, Larry (Kathi) Rappuhn of Wasilla, Alaska and Linda (Mario) Velasquez of Bellevue, NE; 4 grandchildren, Autumn, Sean, Kole and Mica; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Elda Weihemuller of Brainerd, MN; and brother, Ardell (Betty) Rappuhn of Fessenden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; his parents; and brothers, Elmer and Leslie
