Lillian (Wagner) Hirschkorn, 104, Fargo, formerly of Fessenden, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, December 2, 2015, at her home in Fargo, with her daughter at her side.

Lillian Wagner was born July 24, 1911on a farm near Robinson ND to John and Bertha (Kahler) Wagner. In 1933 she married Roy Hirschkorn whom she had grown up with in the Manfred area.
In the course of her 104 years she lived through the great depression and World War II. She experienced the addition of phones, television and yes even cars, electricity and running water, into her daily life.
All of her life, Lillian was interested in learning or trying new things and took classes to learn to sew and knit. She loved making things for others and often gave of her time and talent whenever someone asked for her assistance.
Lillian enjoyed many things in her life. Attending and participating in her church, she relied on her love of the Lord all of her life. Among her interests were: music, flowers, knitting, sewing and crocheting but the nucleus of her life was cooking and people. She loved having people over for dinner or coffee. You could not stop at her house for a visit without something to eat. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and even at 103, when she moved from Fessenden ND to the Heritage House in Fargo, she made new friends that meant so much to her.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly (Hirschkorn) Hanson, Granddaughter Ronda Geier-Cheatham, Great Grandchildren Amanda (Cheatham) Trejo and Douglas Cheatham.

Her funeral service will be held Monday, December 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Manfred Seventh-day Adventist Church of rural Manfred with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden followed by a 7 p.m. prayer service.
