Obituary

Lillian V. Krueger, Bowdon, ND passed away at the age of 104 on Thursday, June 10, 2021 in Loma Linda, CA. Funeral services will be at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Bowdon Country Seventh-day Adventist Church, rural Bowdon.  The funeral service can be live-streamed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twVph2Y4EL0 Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour before the services at the church.  Arrangements are with Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden, ND.

Lillian Violet Vietz was born September 20, 1916 near McClusky, North Dakota, the daughter of Jacob and Katharina (Heitzmann) Vietz.  She grew up near McClusky and attended country school there.  She married Arnold W. Krueger on October 16, 1938 at McClusky.  They made their home on the Krueger farmstead southeast of Bowdon, North Dakota. They were members of the Bowdon Country Seventh-day Adventist Church. They began wintering in Loma Linda in the 1980's.  Arnold passed away on October 25, 1995.

Lillian enjoyed gardening, eating the fresh food and then canning what was left of the produce. She liked having lots of flowers and trees so that the yard would be pretty. She also enjoyed doing embroidery and putting puzzles together and passed these enjoyments on to her children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchild were a special delight to her. She enjoyed traveling, especially visiting family and friends and was always more than happy to welcome visitors to her home. She was loved by her many relatives and friends who always commented on her sweet and welcoming smile.

Lillian is survived by her children, Jeannette McMurray, Bowdon, ND, Judy Sparks, Corona, CA, and Kimber (Pam) Krueger, Bismarck, ND, three grandchildren, Hillary (Kevin), Diana (Bret), and David, one great-grandchild, Juniper, and a sister, Ruth Fode. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arnold, and siblings, Herbert, Alma, Tilly, Ann, Emil. Edwin, and Doris.
