Lydia E. Stolt, 94, Anamoose, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey. A private family service will be held at Bethke-Nelson Funeral Home in Drake, followed by burial at St. John's Norfolk Cemetery of rural Drake.

Lydia Yahnke, daughter of Carl and Verena (Michel) Yahnke, was born September 23, 1924 on the family farm near Drake where she grew up and attended a nearby country school. She later attended business school in Minot.

On July 1, 1945, she was united in marriage to Arnold Stolt. They made their home on a farm northeast of Drake where they continued to farm and raise cattle until their retirement. They moved into Anamoose in 2003 and, in 2011, Lydia entered the Harvey Nursing Home. Arnold passed away July 3, 2013.

Lydia was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Drake.

She is survived by her daughters, Elaine 'Bunny' (Avery) Minor of Anamoose and Holly (Bruce) Gaugler of Bismarck; her son, Michael Stolt of rural Drake; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Lydia was preceded in death by her husband; 1 son, Darrell; her parents; and her siblings.
