Mark 'Spanky' Krahler, 63, Fessenden, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at his home in Fessenden. His funeral will be held Monday, April 9 at 1:00 P. M. At the First Lutheran Church in Fessenden. Arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.
Mark Wayne Krahler, son of Raymond and Dorothy (Scheer) Krahler, was born October 16, 1954 at Harvey. He grew up in Fessenden and received his education at Fessenden Public School.
As a young man, he began working for Krahler Construction, his father's business, as a heavy equipment operator. Mark later took over Krahler Construction and had continued to operate it since. He was grateful to the customers he worked for over the years.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Fessenden. Spanky enjoyed golfing with his friends and was a longtime member of the Fessenden Country Club. In his earlier years he also enjoyed hunting, softball and bowling.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Nancy Krahler of Bismarck and their 3 children, Kristin Krahler, Jeffrey Krahler and Cameron Luitjens (Romelle Edstrom); and a number of cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy.
