Mary Bahnmiller, 99, Chaseley, died Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Carrington Hospital in Carrington, ND. Her funeral will be held Friday, September 18 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bowdon Country Seventh-day Adventist Church of rural Bowdon with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden.
Mary Madche, daughter of Jacob and Maria (Sprenger) Madche, was born December 15, 1915 near Dodge, ND where she grew up and received her education.
On March 30, 1937 she was married to Gerhart Bahnmiller at Dodge. In 1941 they moved to the Chaseley area where they continued to reside and farm until moving to Carrington in 2013.
Mary spent her days as a farm wife, raising her 7 children and helping her husband farm. She loved gardening and reading the Bible and E. G. White books. She was a very good cook and her specialties were strudel and kuchen. She enjoyed singing hymns while she worked and her favorite songs were "Tell Me The Story Of Jesus" and the German version of "God Is Love".
Mary is survived by her husband of 78 years, Gerhart; 5 sons, Allan (Judi) of Isanti, MN and Eddie (Marla), Dale, Lowell and Lynn all of rural Chaseley; 2 daughters, Genny Bahnmiller of Fargo and LoAnn (Dan) Heier of Kindred; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings and 1 granddaughter, Laurel Radcliff
