Mary Mable Gutzwiller, 74, Bowdon, ND, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at St. Aloisius Hospital in Harvey. A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date. Arrangements with Nelson Funeral Home of Fessenden.

Mary Mable Gutzwiller, daughter of Egbert and Nettie (Carlson) Stauffer, was born December 19, 1945 at Jamestown, ND. She was raised on a farm north of Windsor and attended the nearby Deer Lake Country School. She received her high school education at Jamestown High School, graduating in 1963. She attended Jamestown college before enrolling at a beautician school in Jamestown. Mary worked as a hair stylist and later as a dental assistant in both Jamestown and Omaha NE. She then accepted an accounting position with Scheels in Fargo where she worked for a number of years. She later worked as an accountant for a towing company in Kalispel, MT until moving to Bowdon in 2000 where she had resided since.

Mary is survived by her 2 children, Lisa (Brad) Lee and Jay Gutzwiller; her dear friend and companion, Terry Jesse; and her brother, Jim Stauffer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, C Ann and Dorothea.
