Matthew Thompson Green, 48, Drake, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Trinity Hospital in Minot. The family is honoring his request that there be no public service. Arrangements with Bethke-Nelson Funeral Home of Drake.

Matthew Green, son of Thomas and Harriet (Deplazes) Green, was born March 30, 1966 at Wheat Ridge, Colorado. At an early age, Matthew moved with his family to Alberta, Canada where he grew up and received his education. He lived in Alaska for a short time before returning to Alberta. He then attended college in Calgary and became a certified automobile mechanic.

On December 18, 2002 he was married to Suzanne Jorgensen at Maple Ridge, British Columbia. They moved to Granville, ND in 2003 and to Drake in 2006. Matthew worked as an auto mechanic in Minot for several years and also as an auto mechanic instructor at Job Corps in Minot for a short time.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; 6 daughters, Elishia Green of Vernon, British Columbia, Kristie Green of Calgary, Alberta, Churstie Jackson of Langley, BC, Kristeena Smith of Minot, Danika Green of Drake and Roche Green of Drake; step-son, Anthony Lowe-Green of Calgary, Alberta; several grandchildren; his mother, Harriet (Lyle) Bracken of Leeds; 1 brother, Chuck (Jenny) Green of Calgary, Alberta, and 2 sisters, Tracinda (Art) Plenert Of Aldergrove, BC and Julie Green of Victoria, BC.
