Obituary

Mayme Olschlager, 82, Fargo, formerly of rural Bowdon, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Elim Care Center in Fargo.

Mayme Jean Broeder, daughter of Otto and Alma (Wigan) Broeder, was born October 16, 1933 on the family farm west of Fessenden where she grew up. She attended Fessenden Public School, graduating in 1951.

On June 15, 1951, she was married to Roy Olschlager in Fessenden. They made their home on a farm north of Bowdon where they farmed until Roy passed away March 15, 1972. Mayme served as house mother for the Pi Betta Phi sorority at the University of North Dakota campus in Grand Forks from 1975 until 1977. In 1978 she moved to Fargo where she had resided since. She became a resident of Elim Care Center in 2011.

Mayme was a member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Fessenden and attended Metropolitan Baptist Church after moving to Fargo.

She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Joyce Olschlager of Fargo and Marlys Olschlager of Fessenden; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and her good friend and neighbor, Carol Bristol.

Mayme was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; her son, Rick and her parents.

Funeral: Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial: Hillside Cemetery of Fessenden.
