Melissa Ann Neuharth

Melissa Ann Neuharth, 45, of Hurdsfield, ND passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at SMP Health St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, ND. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Faith Lutheran Church in Harvey, ND with Pastor Greg Longtin officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Harvey.

Melissa was born April 26, 1981 in Harvey. She was the daughter of Douglas and Susan (Brown) Neuharth. Melissa grew up on the family farm north of Hurdsfield. She loved her kitties and helping her dad during calving season. She attended kindergarten in Bowdon, ND, first grade in Hurdsfield, and grades 2-12 in Harvey, where she graduated. Melissa went on to Dickinson State University, where she persevered in spite of medical problems, and received an LPN degree. She worked several years in medical/Oncology at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck and also did clinic work. She worked for a time for Coventry Insurance. Melissa later moved to Lake Geneva, where she did insurance exams for companies, such as Culver’s, and also for people in their homes. She enjoyed visiting with others and was quite friendly.

In 2020, Melissa had surgery at the Mayo Clinic and was unable to work anymore. She lived with her parents up until the time of her passing. She loved cooking and trying new recipes. Melissa was plagued with several illnesses and suffered great pain until God took her home.

Melissa is survived by her parents, Douglas and Susan Neuharth; sisters, Kara Neuharth of Tyler, TX, Erica (Bobby) Falero of Williams Bay, WI, and Jessica (Matthew) Johnston of Fargo, ND; aunts and uncles, Sharon (Gary) Throlson of Bismarck, ND, Ken (Connie) Rose of New River, AZ, Gary (Vicki) Neuharth of Bismarck, ND, and Jeanette Rieder of Mesa, AZ; niece and nephews, Joel, Elianna, and Micah Telenga of Tyler, TX, Andrew Falero of Delavan, WI, and Brody Onstad Johnston of Fargo, ND; cousins, Stefanie (BJ) Williams of Merrison, CO, Tom Neuharth of Bismarck, ND and Grant (Emily) Neuharth of Tucson, AZ.
