Mitchell Clark Lloyd was born February 5, 1964 to Clark and Sharon (Rogness) Lloyd in Harvey, ND.  He was raised and educated in Fessenden, along with his siblings, Brent, Toni and Linette.  Mitch was active in school, participating in track, football, basketball and FFA.  He graduated from Fessenden High School with the class of 1982.  Mitch was united in marriage to Barb Miller in 1985 and raised their son, Joshua.

Mitch furthered his education at Bismarck Junior College from 1982 to 1984 and graduated with an Associate's Degree in Agra-Business and was on the President's Honor Roll.  He attended North Dakota State University in Fargo ND, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Crop and Weed Science.  Upon graduating, Mitch and his family moved to Bismarck, ND for a short period before moving home to Fessenden.  Mitch began Lloyd Crop Management, Inc. in the early 1990's, making seed, chemical, farm supplies, and goods available for local farmers in Fessenden and surrounding counties.

Mitch was united in marriage to Ola Sushchinskaya in 2004.  Together the couple lived on the family farm south of Fessenden.  Shortly after, Mitch adopted his step-daughter, Diana.  Ola passed away suddenly, as a result of an automobile accident, October 14, 2005.

Mitch was baptized and confirmed at the First Lutheran Church in Fessenden. He enjoyed hunting and bowling in his younger years, but later in life, enjoyed reading and researching anything agriculture-related.  Mitch had a love of farming and ranching at a very young age.  He had an entrepreneurial spirit that started in high school.  He would grow muskmelons and corn to sell to local stores or out of the back of his pickup.  There was nothing that could distract him from finding answers to his questions.  He was an innovative, outside-the-box thinker who was rarely concerned with conforming to social norms.  Mitch was blessed with his first grandchild, Jack, in 2023 and loved sharing pictures and stories with everyone around him.

Mitch is survived by his son, Joshua (Kara) Lloyd of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Diana (Jaden) Martz of Chicago, IL; grandson, Jack Lloyd; siblings, Brent Lloyd of Thompson, ND, Toni (Clay) Houchin of Fessenden, ND and Linette (Kevin) Rexine of Bismarck, ND; nieces and nephews, Kirby Houchin, Kayla Houchin, Kelby Houchin, Koby Houchin, Zak Knodel, Kelly Knodel, Kolten Knodel, Kale Keller, Dawson Keller, Cassity Wingenbach, Jacoby Lloyd, Jayden Lloyd, Kiara Lloyd, Jesse Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Jazzi Johnson, Jake Miller, Morgan Miller, Chrissa Benson, Avgusta Sushchinskaya and Arisha Sushchinskaya; brother-in-law, Andre (Natasha) Sushchinski; sister-in-law, Luba (Igor) Malisheuskaya.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ola Lloyd and parents, Clark and Sharon Lloyd.
