Myra Severson, 91, Fessenden, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Myra Pross, daughter of Gilbert and Katherine (Strobel) Pross, was born October 31, 1926 in Fessenden. She spent her early years on a farm southeast of Fessenden and moved into town in 1940. She graduated from Fessenden High School in 1944. She then attended Interstate Business College in Fargo for one year before returning to Fessenden. Through the years, Myra worked for the Office of Price Administration, Federal Land Bank, Farmers Home Administration, Great Plains Supply Co., Register of Deeds and served several years as Bailiff of Wells County Court.

She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Fessenden where she served as Treasurer for 13 years and was a charter member of the Esther Circle Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she served as Chaplain for 20 years.

Myra was married to Elmer Severson on August 15, 1949 in Fessenden where they lived their entire lives.

She is survived by sons, Larry of Miles City, MT, Dean of Chandler, AZ and Paul (Rebecca) Severson of Burnsville, MN; daughter, Connie (Dale) Mason of Fessenden; four grandchildren, Mike (Kelly) Severson, Ashley (Hali) Scher, Chad (Seetha) Mason and Mitch (Tawny) Mason; two step grandchildren, Karli (Grant) Ronchi and Bryan Condon; 3 great-grandchildren, Brayden Severson, and Charlie & Steven Mason; and one step great-grandson, Jack Ronchi.

Myra was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; her parents; daughter-in-law, Celina Severson;

and brother, Wilfred Pross.

Funeral: Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church in Fessenden.

Visitation: Thursday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden.

Burial: Hillside Cemetery in Fessenden.
