Obituary

Myron 'Mick' Lloyd, 88, Fessenden, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey.

Myron 'Mick' Ellsworth Lloyd, son of John 'Ells' and Jesse (Gillespie) Lloyd, was born July 7, 1930 on the family farm near Heaton where he grew up and attended country school.

Mick was once married to Jacquelyn Kahler. They had three children, Rodney, Scott and Jerilyn.

On July 2, 1969, Mick was united in marriage to Adeline Heinz in Fessenden. Adeline had four children, Myron, Denise, Cheryl and Candace.

In his early years, Mick drove a logging truck in the Missoula, MT area and later trucked in Canada and Alaska. Mick spent over forty years providing train derailment services and burying undergound telephone and power cables. He also built and owned Mick's Bar and Lounge in Fessenden which he and Adeline operated for many years. It was known as the cool place to hang out and go bowling.

Mick loved children, especially his grandchildren, and would light up whenever they were around. He also loved operating his heavy equipment and working on his 8N Ford Tractors. When working on equipment, the greasier the job the better. He was a practical jokester and loved playing pranks. He enjoyed deep sea fishing. He and Adeline enjoyed over 40 years of traveling to Mexico and Arizona in their motorhome with their Yorkies - Charlie and later Bandit.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Adeline; their children, Rodney (Brenda) Lloyd and Scott (Laurie) Lloyd of Fessenden, Jeri (Nick Helwig) Wentz of Grand Forks, Myron (Renae) Heinz of Fessenden, Denise (Brad Kline) Feist and Cheryl Feickert of Harvey, and Candace (Cory) Tryan of Fargo; 13 grandchildren, Sabrina, Kyle, Shaunna, Chelsey, Torrie, Michael, Jeremy, Shanda, Kayla, Ashley, Alicia, Tabetha and Heather; many great-grandchildren; and brother, Jack Lloyd of Fessenden.

Mick was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna (Jerry) Quick and LaVonne (Les) Menk; and sister-in-law, Videll Lloyd.
