Regina Pepple, 92, of Freeman, SD, formerly Cathay and Carrington, ND, died peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at the Oakview Terrace care center in Freeman. Her funeral will be held Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Carrington with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery at Cathay, ND. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Calvary Baptist Church in Carrington.

Regina was born at Cathay on November 11, 1921 to Adolf and Elizabeth (Kandt) Schramm. She attended Woodworth Township School and later graduated from Cathay Public School in 1939.
She was united in marriage to Adolph Pepple on August 31, 1941 at Cathay and to this union three children were born, Dellan, Ardis, and Karen. They farmed in the Cathay area until their retirement in 1982 and moved to Carrington in 2000. Adolph passed away May 23, 2008.

She was active with 4-H clubs in Wells County, homemakers clubs, various church organizations such as Awana, Sunday School teacher, and mission society. She was also active with the Cathay Community Club. She enjoyed gardening, hosting family gatherings, Bible studies, and she liked to take long walks.

Regina is survived by her children Dellan (Sharon), Willmar, MN, Ardis Goodrun, Fargo, ND and Karen (Janver) Stucky, Freeman, SD; 6 grandsons, Darin and Craig Pepple, Rondy and Jered Graber, and Colby and Doran Stucky: 7 great-grandchildren Derek and Nicholas Pepple, Libbie and Wilson Pepple, Dakota Graber, Kelly and Kole Graber; a sister Stella Bennett of Shelton, WA and brother Melvin Schramm of Carrington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother Rudy Schramm, and 2 sisters Alma Schramm and Vella Burzloff.
