Roger John Lakoduk was born to John and Alice (Tollefson) Lakoduk on February 6, 1950 in Minot, ND. He attended Butte and Drake Elementary Schools and Butte High School, where he graduated in 1969.
Roger was united in marriage with Corliss Pister on July 10, 1971. They made their home on Roger's childhood farmstead. He farmed and milked with his brother Alton. He established Lakoduk Construction and Cabinetry in the late 1980's.
Roger was involved in the Jaycees, served on the Butte School Board, church council and was a member of the Butte Fire Dept. His church family and youth became very important to him in the last few years of his life.
Roger was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed working with his hands, photography, fishing,and helping others.
His loving family includes: his wife Corliss of 44 years, children, Michelle(Troy) Schilling, Ellendale, ND, Brian(Melissa)Lakoduk, Butte, ND, Brandee(Lucas)Waruru, Minot, ND; grandchildren, Michael & Matthew Schilling, Brianna Green, Sydney(Frank) Silva, Kayla Green, & Gabriel Lakoduk and Jayden & Tachel Halverson; great-grandchildren Anthony and Suraya Silva; brother, Alton(Cheryl)Lakoduk, father-in-law; Frank Pister and Marlene Dahlin; brother-in-law John(Aimee)Pister; sister-in-laws Roxanne(Ted)Selzler, Pam(Noel)Podoll, Debbie(Keith)Olson and several nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by, his parents and mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
Roger John Lakoduk, surrounded by his loving family, lost his battle to liver cancer on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 in Bismarck, at the age of 66.

His funeral will be held Monday, March 7, 2016 ay 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Butte with burial in the Butte Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the St. Paul Lutheran Church building fund.
