Sally Pillatzke, 53, Martin, ND, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at her home in Martin.
Sally Meckle, daughter of Walter and Lydia (Grabofsky) Meckle, was born November 27, 1961 at Harvey, ND. She was raised in the McClusky and Harvey areas where she received her education. She lived in Miles City, MT for a time before joining her father in the operation of J&W Upholstery in Martin.
On July 4, 1997, Sally was married to Eugene Pillatzke on the Pillatzke family farm east of Anamoose. They shared seventeen years of marriage together.
Sally opened Sally's Upholstery Shop, in February of 2000 in Anamoose, which she continued to own and operate until 2014.
Sally will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, community service, strong work ethic and devotion to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene; 3 daughters, Janice (Todd) Nelson of Glenburn, Becky (Stephen) Catlette of Watertown, SD and Laura Jundt of Mandan; 8 grandchildren, Brittany, Savannah, Sierra, Breanna, Jayden, Addesyn, Bryn and Bailee; 7 brothers, Tony (Sammie) Meckle of Anamoose, Jim (Dorothy) Meckle of Denhoff, John (Elinor) Meckle of Lisbon, Allan (Beverly) Meckle of Rugby, Mark (Laurie) Meckle of Vaughn, NM, Tim (Jody) Meckle of Minot and Danny (Dacia) Meckle of Fargo; 2 sisters, Julie (Joe) Bachmeier of Towner and Betty (Lyle) Langseth of Williston; and sisters-in-law, Sally Meckle of Fredricksburg, VA, Rita (Arny) Reimers of Carrington and Alice Thomas of Pingree.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harold and 3 infant siblings.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Martin Baptist Church in Martin with burial in the McClusky City Cemetery at McClusky. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 pm until 6 pm at the Martin Baptist Church. Arrangements with Bethke-Nelson Funeral Home of Drake.
