Sandra 'Sandee' Frankhauser, 75, Fessenden, formerly of Shakopee, MN, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck.
Sandra Williams, daughter of Raymond and Loretta (Langer) Williams, was born March 15, 1943 near Fairbault, MN. Her early childhood was spent in Fairbault where she attended school from kindergarten through the 8 th grade. The family then moved to Bloomington, MN where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961.
Sandee became very active in the Minnesota Democratic Farmer Labor Party during Hubert Humphrey's term as vice president, serving as a delegate and secretary/treasurer.
In March of 1976, Sandee was united in marriage to Kent Frankhauser in Savage, MN. They lived in Burnsville, MN for a year and Savage, MN for a year, before settling in Shakopee, MN where they spent most of their married lives. While living in Shakopee, she was employed as head secretary of the local Shakopee newspaper for several years and did random accounting. She also remained active with the DFL.
Sandee and Kent were members of Shepherd of the Hill Presbyterian Church in Chaska, MN and the Shakopee Eagles Club. She was an avid gardener, and the family cook who everyone relied on for recipes and advice.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kent; her daughter, Elizabeth 'Beth' (Brian) Schimelfenig of Fessenden, ND; her son, William 'Bill' Frankhauser of Shakopee, MN; 3 grandchildren, Logan, Allison & Megan Schimelfenig; 2 sisters, Kathy (David) Cleveland of Eagan, MN and Barbara Williams of Bloomington, MN; 1 brother, Lawrence Williams of Burnsville, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Sandee was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Mary George.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Shepherd of the Hill Presbyterian Church in Chaska, MN.
Burial will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Fessenden, ND at a later date.
