Selma Ann Tag, 97, Jamestown, formerly of Carrington and rural Cathay, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Ave Maria Village in Jamestown. Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 12, at 11:00 a.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery of Cathay. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home.


Selma Ann Fuhrman daughter of Fredrick & Christine (Nagel)
Fuhrman was born Oct 3, 1917 in Cathay ND where grew up and
attended school.

On Nov 7, 1934 she was united in marriage to Alexander J Tag.
They lived and farmed near Cathay and in the Sykeston area.
They retired in 1976. Her husband passed away April 13 1992. She moved to Carrington in September 1995. She had been a resident of Ave Maria Village in Jamestown since 2011.

Selma was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cathay until it closed.
She was active in the church, ladies aide and taught Sunday school for 15
years. She became a member of the Federated Church in Carrington in 1991

She is survived by her two sons David (Florence) Tag of Enderlin, ND and Larry Tag of Jamestown, ND; five Grandchildren, Beth (Russ) Hall, Nashua NH ,Steve (Rebecca) Tag,
New Lenox Il , Susan (Mark ) Schwope, Lino Lakes Mn, Cynthia (Richard)
Nygord, Jamestown ND, Tim Tag, Jamestown ND, two great-grandchildren Holly Marie Tag and Dyllon Matthew Tag, and many nieces & nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alex, her parents, baby son,
Willis John Tag, 9 sisters, 3 brothers and daughter-in-law, Martha Tag.
