Sharon Jane Bullard (Toy), 78, Drake, died Thursday Feb. 1, 2018 surrounded by her family.
On a snowy day in December in Marshfield, WI, Sharon was born the 10th and final daughter of Eleanor (Boushack) and Ira Toy. She was an early Christmas gift to her nine older sisters. She became the boss (First Sergeant) to her three brothers that were to follow. The family moved to Drake, ND in 1945. Sharon entered first grade there and graduated from Drake High School. She then worked at St. Joseph's hospital in Minot, ND as a Nurses Aid. In 1962 she met and fell in love and married Art Bullard, who was stationed at Minot Air Force Base.
Sharon left her Bible here for others to treasure because she had the Living Word in her heart and soul. She spent years color coding, underlining and making notes and cross references in her many Bibles. Now she has personally met the Author of the book she treasured most. In her words, "PRAISE THE LORD"
She is survived by her step daughter Cheryl Kubitscheck; step son Beau Bullard (Jenny); son Chad Bullard (Stacey) and daughter Stassa Bullard (Lupton); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores Reigel, (WI), Alice Balmer (Francis), (WI), Joan Pryor, (TX), Charlane Bertsch, (ND), Janet Hasti, (ND), Teckla Shaylor (Merle), (WA); and brother, Charles Toy (Sharon) (ND).
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Jennifer Kubitscheck; sisters, Nellie Harder, Lorraine Prough, Ramona Bossert and brothers Michael and Ira Toy.
A Celebration of Sharon's Life will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Thursday, February 8th at the United Methodist Church in Drake.
