Sue M. Edinger, 87, Fessenden, North Dakota, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023 at St. Aloisius Nursing Home in Harvey, North Dakota.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at Hillside Cemetery, Fessenden, North Dakota.  Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden, North Dakota.

Sue M. Anderson was born May 24, 1935 to Virgil and Helen (Eheim) Anderson in Seattle, Washington where she grew up and attended school.  After graduation from the University of Washington in Seattle, she worked for several years in Breckenridge, Minnesota as a County Extension Agent for Wilkin County.

She married Ralph Edinger on August 31, 1963 in Breckenridge, Minnesota.  She then worked with her husband in his insurance business in Fessenden, ND until April 1, 1999 when they retired and sold their insurance business.

Sue was an active member of the Fessenden First Baptist Church.  She belonged to the Women's Missionary Fellowship where she served as President, Treasurer, and White Cross chairman.  Sue was an active member of the Sunday School where she served as a Sunday School teacher as Sec./Treas. of the Sunday School.  She also served the church as Church Clerk and Treasurer in later years.  Sue sang for many years in the church choir and was an original member of the Ladies Trio.

She is survived by two nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph, and sister Joan Gertano.
